We continue to remain active volunteers for and supporters of the Bradford Country Food Pantry; an emergency food source for needy families in the country. In 2001 over 13,000 people took advantage of this emergency food allowance program. We also fed 250 families at Thanksgiving and 300 families at Christmas.
Do you want to help? The session is changing the concepts and approach to our support for the Food Pantry. Each time you come to the church campus, please bring a canned or boxed item. We want to give sufficient support to this great program. Thank you so much!
Another emergency food program, we helped harvest or deliver watermelons, cantaloupes, green beans, cabbage, citris fruit and more! We also assist with once-per-week bread delivery to four or more food pantries.
Our church fed 36 families this past Thanksgiving and 26 families this past Christmas. This is in addition to Food Pantry deliveries.
Thru support from our congregation we provided Christmas gifts to 39 children this past year.
We provide birthday parties on a monthly basis at a local nursing home.
We are happy to provide lunch, fellowship and entertainment for residents of the two local nursing homes each second Friday.
The Presbyterian woman are still collecting soup labels and box tops for the Duval Home. Collection boxes for these items can be found in Stump Hall.
We continue to serve as Christ commands; to take care of and love each other!
